Don't foget about the...

30 hour credit project requirement!

Remember, in order to earn a credit in Spanish, you must complete a 30-hour credit project (above & beyond homework & time sheets) that extends your learning about Spanish / Spanish-speaking culture outside of the classroom. You will now be asked to turn in your credit project hours (yellow paper with squares on it) every Wed./Thursday along with your time sheet.

Important

5A Write 15 sentences in the past tense. Use a different past tense phrase for each one, ALL subjects in Spanish, and at least 5 irregular verbs. Please label these parts: phrase / subject / irregulars. Extra credit if you mix regular, spell-changers, reflexives, and irregular verbs. Minimum = 5 irregs.

 

5B Study for your quiz on the irregular past tense (the preterite) in one week.

Sections:

*What are the irregular past tense endings (fill in chart)
*Conjugate: ir, ser, dar & ver

*Write the irregular stems for verbs such as poder & tener (from your Cucaracha Loca song - the first song on your helpsheet).
*Define (write in English) the definitions for various irregular past tense verbs.
*Tell me in Spanish 3 things you did yesterday, using at least 1 irregular verb. (This test is pretty much your speed conjugation sheet, so if you can do that, you'll be OK).

2A Do TWO time sheets...one for each of the next two weeks (unless you are taking the WASL or ITBS...if so, no time sheets due for you.


2B Complete the handout "Una noticia confusa"

2C Finish the rough draft of your final exam in Spanish. Make sure to double-space it and label it as you go...¡gracias!

2D Do your new speed conjugation sheet (the side with haber in the last box only) five times. The answers are here (will be shortly)- sorry...I dropped the ball on this! Just try your best...I'll go over the answers in class.

2E Finish your wanted poster...it is an exam so do your best!

2F Sing all of your irregular verbs songs until you are sick of them or you memorize them...whichever comes first...and tell me how many times you sang them. We will have a test shortly after you're back, & knowing these songs will help you a lot.
