| Don't foget about the... 30 hour credit project requirement! Remember, in order to earn a credit in Spanish, you must complete a 30-hour credit project (above & beyond homework & time sheets) that extends your learning about Spanish / Spanish-speaking culture outside of the classroom. You will now be asked to turn in your credit project hours (yellow paper with squares on it) every Wed./Thursday along with your time sheet. If you haven't started, working on it during the break is a GREAT idea! Due: End of May |

| STUDY FOR YOUR TEST ON THE FUTURE TEST -Thursday! Here are the test parts: I.

Go to http://www.colby.edu/~bknelson/exercises/conditional.html (it takes a while to load). Listen to the poem.
17A Translate the 2nd paragraph into English.
17B Look up or click 10-15 of any of the blue vocabulary words or any other words you don't know - write them down with their English definitions.
17C Then, go here: http://www.colby.edu/~bknelson/exercises/instantes/condicional.html Just think about what you think the answer would be and then click the ? mark. You don't have to type anything - just see how many of your guesses were correct.
17D Study for your TEST on the conditional in class the Thursday after next week (WSLP week). You do NOT have to know the imperfect subjunctive for your test. You DO have to know which verbs are irregular in the conditional tense, and what all of the endings are. *End of 1st

A) Go to this site: http://www.colby.edu/~bknelson/exercises/amapola/index.html Hopefully you can find a computer where you can hear audio. Click the play button at the top of each paragraph and listen to the beautiful Spanish poem as it's read to you. Click on the underlined words for clues as to what they mean. Bring me in a list of 15 words you learned from the poem (they don't have to be the underlined ones).
C) Then, in the upper right corner again, click ejercicio-el futuro. Type in your answers & click the question marks to see if you're correct. Write down any you get incorrect. D) Only 1 time sheet is due over break - the 6th one - take a week off!
ALSO: Work on your 30 hours towards your credit project.
Work on raising your grade if you need to. |

Study your new tense, the "real" future. It may be a good
idea to do some speed conjugation practice at home. If you want to practice
regular verbs, use the same one you use for the present tense (starts
& ends with dormir). The one you got in class that starts with "Caber"
is ONLY irregulars!!! Yowzer! |

Translate some pages, read it to someone, make up a different story based on the pattern of Spanish in the story...whatever! It should be enough work to equal 15 points. 5BNext class your brains are going to be fried...not with anything new but with a pretty major review. So... ...bring whatever snacks / drinks you want to energize your brain, and if you want to be nice to your classmates, bring enough to share. :) Reminder: Second time sheet due next class. |

Deadline to get your grade up to or above 80% and your required
number of pesos in. |
|
There are no actual grades given to students-all transcripts
read either P or F. However, if grades are important to you, you can calculate
your grade as follows: divide Pts. Rec’d by Pts worth to get a percentage.
Round to the nearest whole number. 98-100% = A+ 93-97 = A 90-92 = A- 88-89 = B+
83-87 = B 80-82 = B- (80%=lowest passing score).
