| Communication grades are divided into two sections:
listening and speaking.
Listening grades are based on student participation and attention
cues (eyes on the speaker, responding to ideas of the conversation)
during class discussions and whole group instruction.
Speaking grades are based on class activities where students need
to speak to the class.
