Characters
Ways an author develops a character:
1. Tells us directly. Too much of this makes for a boring book and a character with no life.
2. Describes the character's thoughts and feelings.
3. Gives the character words and dialogue.
4. Tells about the character's actions.
5. Tells how others respond to the character.
