In years past our Jazz Bands have played at swing dances, P.T.A. functions, other community events and jazz festivals in the area. For example, over the last few years we have performed at the Edmonds Jazz Connection and the Edmonds Arts Festival in June. If you would like us to play at an event or function you are hosting, or you have any questions or concerns, call me at 425-431-4345 or you can email me by clicking here: Bruce Laven.

COOL JAZZ LINKS

PBS - Jazz - Adapted from Ken Burns' documentary film "Jazz," with in-depth historical background, archived photos and recordings, biographies, and listening examples. This is an excellent source for jazz history with tons of information and links to all that is jazz music.

Jazz Primer for Rock People - Written for Oculus Magazine by Craig Matthews, this is a great synopsis of jazz history from 1900 to 1975, including a timeline, recommended readings and listening guides. Check it out.

All About Jazz - This site is an up-to-date jazz resource containing articles, CD reviews, news, forums, interviews with musicians, a radio station guide, photo gallery, audio downloads, information on local/global jazz clubs and festivals, jazz links and more!  (From the folks at JazzExcursion.com, an internet jazz radio broadcaster.)

Jazz Online - Another great place to find new jazz music reviews, interviews, music downloads, videos, and CD’s.  Check out “Jazz 101,” a great jazz history lesson with recommended CD’s.  This site was the world’s first commercial jazz web site and is allied with Down Beat magazine, amazon.com, and ASCAP, among others.
