It is the policy of Edmonds School District that the orientation of new Board members is the responsibility of the experienced members of the Board and the superintendent. Such orientation will be provided through a variety of activities including but not limited to the following:
- Presentation of printed and audio-visual information on school board policies and administrative procedures.
- Discussions and visits with the superintendent and other members of the district staff.
- Workshops for new Board members conducted by area and state school board associations.
