Here are some pictures and information about
my favorite things to do!
Here's a picture of a quilt that I made and love. I really enjoy working
on art quilts, matching the right fabric to represent a tree, water or animal.
When I went on vacation I went to see some volcano sites in Oregon. There was a mountain of
obsidian and pumice. Boulders looked like polished glass shining in the sun. Some were light
weight since they were pumice. Others were very heavy, as obsidian is very heavy.
There are over 400 buttes (small mountains formed by lava pushing up through
vents in a volcano) in this case a caldera. There is one site where the volcano
"burped" cinder stones out. Very cool!
Chilliwack Lake is over the border in Canada and remains our family's favorite camping spot.
The south end of the lake has several glaciers and the beauty of the place brings peace and quiet.
