Welcome to the Literacy Center
staffed by Diane Cutts and Cindy Anderson
The Literacy
Center is a student-oriented room where children work individually and
in groups with the goal of becoming better readers. Leveled reading materials,
books on tape, and educational aids can be checked out for use at home
or in the classroom. The Center also serves
as a resource room for Cedar Valley staff and parents. Classroom book
sets and teaching resources can be checked out. In this multi-purpose
room, workshops are also held for teachers, assistants, and parents. The Southeast Quadrant
Reading Acacemy, under the direction of Cindy Anderson, is held in the
Literacy Center after school Monday - Thursday.This is a tutoring program;
enrolled students are referred by their teachers.
