The Computer
by A. S.

One sunny afternoon a boy named Tony Ralhut got a brand new $50 computer game. Every young boy dreamed of Galactic 3,000. It has 50 difficult levels and 50 different players to choose from. It has only 32 lives if they go to 0 you start over, even if you’re on level 49.

Dal, Tony’s best friend said “Let’s play Galactic 3,000.

"Okay, I’ll go get some food," said Tony.

“And I’ll start the game up,” replied Dal.

Tony was playing it when . . . BOOM! Tony was in his new computer. “Huh! Where am I? There’s my room. I must be in my computer. Oh no!”

Dal was popping popcorn when the power went out. Uh, oh, I’ll go see Tony about this thought Dal. Dal looked around, but no Tony. He started to play the game. “Dal, Dal, Stop! It’s me, Tony.” Dal kept on playing and made Tony die seven times on the first level. Finally Dal quit playing and went to look for Tony.

He checked all of Tony’s friend’s houses but Tony was not there. Then Dal called 911 Emergency help. “Yeah, my friend is missing. He was playing his new computer game. I went upstairs and he wasn’t there.”

“OK, I’ll send some people out,” said the operator.

“Thanks,” replied Dal.

Then Dal called Tony’s parents and told them the bad news. “Tony is missing. I was making food and he was playing his game. I went to see him and he was gone.”

“We’ll be right there,” said Tony’s Dad.

Dal heard Rew! Rew! Rew! The police asked for a description of Tony. “Blonde hair, blue eyes and about 5 foot 4 inches,” replied Dal. They did not have any luck finding Tony.

Then BOOM, ZAP, ZING! “TONY YOU ARE BACK! Where were you?” demanded Dal. “Well you’re back, that’s all that matters.”

It was a great adventure, but Tony hopes it never happens again.
