Learning Activities in Room 204

Writing Process

We hope you enjoyed reading some of our creative stories from our home page links. We went through the writing process of planning, drafting, revising, editing and publishing as we authored our creative stories. We were able to go to the computer lab to illustrate our stories. We used certain tools in the drawing program, Kid Pix, to make our own creative illustrations. It took lots of concentration.

Readers Theatre

Readers Theatre was used for one of the chapters in our literature set, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. We planned some stage decorations and with our books in hand performed our parts. It helped us to become fluent oral readers, interpret feelings of characters to others, increase our vocabulary and retell stories.

Activity on and off the stage involves everyone.

While Peter and friends play, Fudge tries to fly.

Oh, no! Fudge discovers he's not a bird.
