Common Propaganda Techniques (Readers Handbook pg 263)
Bandwagon: Everybody agrees or is doing it.
Plain Folks Appeal: Common, everyday people support it.
Stacking the Deck: Only the good side is mentioned. Unfavorable facts are withheld.
Broad Generalization: Broad statements that have little substance are made.
Snob Appeal: The best people support it.
Circular Thinking: The conclusion just restates the beginning.
Loaded Words: Words that have strong emotional associations – such as mother, family, and patriotism – are used.
