Reading Academy provides small group (3:1 adult/student ratio) diagnostic assessment and prescriptive instruction for struggling 3rd and 4th grade readers within the Edmonds School District. Students are referred to Reading Academy by their classroom teacher and/or building learning team. Stratetgies and instruction are based on student strengths and needs. A variety of materials and methods are incorporated to facilitate reading comprehension, word recognition/ decoding and fluency development.

Students attend tutoring twice per week on a M/W or T/TH schedule. Two classes are offered from 3:10-4:00 and 4:10 -5:00 P.M. each day.
