Poster
You will be making a poster about your assigned subject and
later this month, you will share the poster with your pre-assigned small group
(I’ll assign the groups later this week).
Poster Requirements – This information is required (see
grading rubric for standard):
- Name of Topic Investigated (examples:
colonial kids, revolutionary war battles, etc.).
- Important dates (years of major events or changes,
etc.).
- Picture or drawing of what you
investigated.
- Map of the area you investigated (this
doesn’t have to be exact; it simply needs to show the general area where the
information you studied took place.)
- Were their any important people present
during the time you investigated? (For example, was George Washington a
part of the battle you discussed, or were you investigating daily life in
the colonies, etc.)
- An example of the ship that the
explorer sailed in (or
if you can’t find this, then an example of what the ship the explorer sailed
in might have looked like based on the ships of that time).
- A timeline showing the period you
investigated.
Additional “above and beyond” information
may include (see grading rubric):
Interesting information about the time or
place you investigated (what did they wear, eat, how did they live,
etc?).
Additional interesting facts you learned
about early American colonies or the American Revolutionary War (see original
class brainstorm list for ideas).
