Are you interested in becoming National Board Certified?      

The deadlines for state scholarships is February 22, 2008.  To be eligible for the state scholarship you must be registered or involved in a University or District Support Cohort.  We will be setting a deadline of mid February for the Edmonds Cohort application as well.

From OSPI Site:

• All applications for NBPTS scholarships must be received at OSPI by Feb 22, 2008. No faxed applications will be accepted. At least 30 candidates will be selected. A list of alternates also will be established. All applicants will be notified of their status by March 21, 2008.

For the past four years, the Edmonds School District has sponsored a facilitated cohort group for National Board candidates. We are now preparing to enroll candidates for our 2008-2009 cohort. There will be two informational meetings for Edmonds teachers interested in learning more about National Board Certification and the Edmonds National Board cohort.

• First meeting: Thursday, January 17th at 4:00 in Room 5 at Lynnwood Elementary.
• Second meeting: Thursday, January 31st at 4:00 in the ESC Boardroom.
• You do not need to attend both meetings; they will feature the same content.
