Course Description |
Cultural Geography is an honors level course that explores how people develop social, political, economic, and cultural behaviors and systems in relation to the natural environments in which they live. The content of this course will focus on the development of world history and civilizations to the year 1000 CE to prepare students interested in taking World History Advanced Placement in Grade 10. Special emphasis will be placed on the development of skills necessary for success in Advance Placement classes. This is a rigorous, yearlong course. Students who elect this course should be strong readers and writers who enjoy the subject of social studies. This is a two-semester course, and is strongly recommended for all students considering taking World History Advanced Placement. |
