Course Description

This course covers the same content as our other American Government classes, but is designed to teach students about the law and our constitution through the use of mock trial. In addition to learning civics, students will learn about courtroom procedure, rules of evidene, argumentation and judgment. Students will research , prepare cases for trial and participate in role-plays of courtroom trials. The class will also prepare students to participate in state mock trial competitions during second semester. This is a hands-on, brains-on class that should be a lot of fun for students interested in law, debate, drama, justice and winning arguments!
