Course Description

This course is a survey of the major historic developments that have created the world we live in today. Special emphasis is placed upon the great ideological struggle between communism, National Socialism, and democracy which controlled the direction of history from 1914 to the present. Students in this course will be encouraged to think independently and develop the intellectual tools necessary to make a strong argument for their point of view on the U.S.'s role in the global community.
