Biotechnology provides students with the opportunity to learn about topics in molecular biology, DNA science, and technology to understand the detailed processes of life and applications in many fields including medicine, agriculture, and forensic science. Students will do research and lab investigations as well as have the opportunity to interact with practicing scientists. This course is especially relevant because the Northwest is one of the leading centers for biotechnology industry in the country, and in the world!
