This course prepares students to think scientifically and to understand concepts ad issues related to living things and their environment. Particular emphasis is given to the skills of questioning, collecting and analyzing data and drawing conclusions. Students considering going to a four-year university should not take this course. Topics include: cells, classifying and organizing the five kingdoms, bacteria, protest, fungi, plants, animals, human body systems, genetics, evolution, ecology.
