Program proposals must be submitted on an official Clock Hour Proposal Form or Clock Hour Repeat Program Proposal Form for Edmonds School District clock hour offerings. Program proposals must include a complete Vita Form for program presenter(s) if it is not already on file in the Teaching and Learning Division of the Edmonds School District . Submit your completed Clock Hour Proposal Form or Clock Hour Repeat Program Proposal Form and Vita Form (s) to the Edmonds School District Teaching and Learning Division contact person in accordance with established timelines. Approval will be granted for program offerings of at least three hours duration . Breaks, passing time, organized meal time, or other recessed time held within a course offering must not exceed one hour per five hours program time, and cannot be included in the total clock hours offered. Program offerings are to be credited in increments rounded down to the nearest half-hour. Example: A program lasting 3 hours and 45 minutes will receive 3.5 clock hour credits. Each clock hour offering must be evaluated by all participants using the Edmonds School District Program Evaluation Form provided. Repeat programs are programs that have been previously approved during the current academic year. A repeat program must contain the same objectives, topic, hours, and instructor as the original program. Repeat proposals of approved clock hour offerings are contingent upon satisfactory evaluations by the program participants. Repeat proposals are available only for those course offerings provided during the current academic year . Individuals requesting program approval will also be responsible for the registration of participants seeking clock hours, the completion of program evaluations and returning the information to the Teaching and Learning Clock Hour contact at the end of the program. Program proposals must be received by the Teaching and Learning Division at least 10 days in advance to be certain that the approval and paperwork will be received in time for the beginning of the program. Approval will not be granted for routine staff meetings such as district, school or area meetings to discuss or explain operation policies or administrative practices within the district or school. Upon approval of your program/event, a registration packet will be sent to the instructor/facilitator that includes a class attendance sheet; clock hour registration forms, program evaluation forms; and instructor/facilitator and participant instructions.
