October 19-23

Once again we have an important parking lot request! Please remember that the speed limit is only 10 MPH. Some of our children are very small and difficult to see, and as we all know, kids can do unpredictable and spontaneous things that can be unsafe. So, that said, if we all drive very slowly while in the parking lot, we hopefully can prevent a horrible accident from happening. Thank you for your understanding!

Our fourth grade team has received all the 2-liter bottles that they need for their science lesson. Thank you for all of your donations.

I have processed all of the volunteer paperwork that has been turned in since the beginning of the school year, so if you have filled it out and would like to start volunteering at Martha Lake, please contact your child's teacher. If you have not yet completed the volunteer forms and you are anticipating that you may want to volunteer either in a classroom or on a field trip this school year, please send your completed forms to the office as soon as possible.

The amazing Children's Hospital Mobile Science Lab came to our school last week and some of our classrooms had an opportunity to do hands on DNA experiments. The media was there to cover the event, here a link to an article printed in The Enterprise newspaper. Check it out!

Thanks to everyone who has been sending in their Box Tops and Campbell's labels, we were able to order the following items for our students use:

1 Fuse Beads Easy Pack - 10,000 beads, patterns and project ideas
1 Play Foam Class Pack - 48 bricks of sculpting foam beads in different colors
30 Playground Rubber Balls (10")
6 Assorted Playground Rubber Balls (8.5")
10 Official Size Soccer Balls
2 Tetherballs
2 Official Size Basketballs
2 High Pressure Electric Inflators
