Good Morning,

We would like to welcome our new 4th grade teacher, Anna Walter, to room 204. She has transfered to Martha Lake from Spruce Elementary, and we are very happy to have her on our staff.

We are on our way to collecting 240 clear, unwashed 2-liter bottles for our 4th grade team to teach the Ecosystems science kit, but we still need MANY MORE!

There is a raffle for this week sponsored by PTA. Anyone who brings a clear, unwashed 2-liter bottle (with its lid on) may enter their name into the box outside of Room 212. A winner will be chosen this Friday to win a Martha Lake t-shirt.
Thank you to those who have already sent in bottles.

We have had a very large number of tardy students since school began, and we would really like to remind our families that the final bell rings at 8:40 a.m. If the students are not in class at that time, they need to stop by the office to receive a tardy pass to take to their teacher.

I am still collecting Volunteer Approval Forms and urge you to turn them in now if you think you might want to volunteer at any time for anything this school year.

This Weeks Happenings:
Monday, September 21st – PTA Reflections Contest Begins. Check your Take Home Tuesday packet for more information.

Scholastic Book Fair in the Library this week during school hours and during Curriculum Nights. Please come check out all the fun items available.

Tuesday, September 22nd – Curriculum Night for grades 4-6. We would love to have at least one parent from each family attend as teachers have important information to share with your regarding the school year. Please meet in the gym at 6:30 for Mrs. Moore’s introductions and then at 7:00 p.m in your child’s classroom.

Thursday, September 24th – Curriculum Night for grades K-3. Please meet in the gym at 6:30 for Mrs. Moore’s introduction, and then at 7:00 p.m. in your student’s classroom for important information regarding the school year.

Friday, September 25th – NO SCHOOL, Staff Learning Improvement Day
