Hi! I am Joan Pedersen. I am teaching 3 learning support labs this Fall; two are developmental reading classes, and one is a writing improvement lab. In addition to this schedule, I am MDM's Speech Pathologist. I serve students who have communication issues. My interest and passion is in how to improve literacy in all of our students, and to that end, I also have a small amount of time to team with other staff in coaching support for the benefit of all students. I love being here full time this year.
I have two sons, 23 yr. old Derek, and 18 yr. old Dane. The oldest is attending Montana State University in Bozeman, and my youngest is a Senior in High School. I remain passionate about learning & teaching, but also enjoy reading, gardening, camping & hiking, and many other pastimes. I look forward to learning from your children and giving them the support that they may need.
