Description:

A multi-page site that is part of the Madrona site.

Contents should include:

r “Splash Page”

r Uniform navigation bar on all pages of ms site (“splash page should have links back to “home” and “departments”

r Info/bio about staff

r Info about required courses and electives

r Special events (info and photos)

r Calendar of events (A and B days would be great!)

r Helpful links to external sites (research, fun, etc)

r Other? Survey? Forms? Assignments? Monthly Trivia contest?

Start by navigating our current Madrona site to get a feel for the layout. Then explore other schools within our district. http://www.edmonds.wednet.edu/ Next, search for other school web sites. Begin at this site: http://web66.coled.umn.edu/schools.html (clickable map of U.S.) Narrow your search by choosing just middle schools, or just Washington schools. You may also choose to search by district, such as “Seattle School District” or “Kent”, “Lake Washington”, “Shoreline”, “Mukilteo”, etc. Use a web site rubric to evaluate at least 2 sites that you really like.
