Creative minds
needed! During this year-long elective students gain experience in desktop
publishing, digital photography, videography, graphic and video editing and
broadcast journalism. The first trimester will focus on acquiring necessary
skills and building upon existing skills to produce projects for the Madrona
Community. During the second and third trimester students will apply
their skills to project-oriented assignments to produce the weekly Madrona
Morning Broadcast, the print and DVD versions of Madrona's yearbook, and
year-end movies featured during 8th grade graduation and the
all-school year-end assembly.
Class materials: email account will be required or provided for all students. Flashdrive (jumpdrive, USB drive) & 1 mini digital video cassette required.

The technology course
is designed to provide students with a broad overview of useful skills to
increase productivity, Curriculum is based on National Educational Technology
Standards and will be tailored to challenge both experienced and novice
computer users. Instruction and course work emphasize technology productivity
& communication tools and social, ethical and human issues while learning
advanced features of MS Offic suite, Photoshop, GarageBand and more.
