• Powerpoint "Links" Slide should have a custom title created using an on-line graphics manipulator and contain a table of at least nine cells with the following items:
  • JPEG of: Inspiration truth/lie outline & hyperlink to an HTML file
  • JPEG of: AppleWorks drawing & hyperlink to the JPG file
  • hyperlink to your email address
  • hyperlink to your survey on SurveyMonkey
  • hyperlink to your (Excel) friends and family file (saved as HTML)
  • hyperlink to your (Word) form letter (PDF) OR your Labels (saved as PDF)
  • hyperlink to your menu project (Garageband song <converted to mp3>, Photoshop creation, online bookmarks, calendar, WebMonkey assignment, SketchUp project, etc.)
  • hyperlink to an educational and helpful website that you've reviewed

 

• ! IMPORTANT: Make yourself a folder titled: Truth & Lie and keep all files (include your music and original Powerpoint project in this folder.
• Export your Inspiration project twice, once as a JPEG and then as a HTML file. Choose File > Export > Graphics File > JPEG. Save this .jpg file in the folder called Truth and Lie. Then Choose File > Export >Web Page > Site Skeleton. Save this .htm file and the folder that is automatically created with it in the Truth and Lie folder.
• Save the first sheet (contacts with title) of your Excel file as HTML. Choose "File>Save as... " and change the format from Microsoft Excel Workbook to Web Page. The extension of your document will now end with .htm. Save into your Truth and Lie folder on the server.
• To turn your letter into a PDF file, simply open the letter, choose print, but then select "PDF > Save as PDF" in the resulting dialogue box.
• If you do not have Powerpoint at home, but plan to watch you Truth & Lie Project, you may download the free viewer from Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003 page.
• If you do not have Word at home, but plan to look at some of the work you have completed this trimester you may download the free viewer from the Microsoft Office Downloads page
• If you do not have Excel at home you will still be able to view your Friends & Family contacts sheet through any web browser if you've saved the file as an web page (.htm file). You may also choose to save your Excel file as Text (tab delimited) and your data will open in any text editor, although it will lose its formatting.
• All files you've created can also be saved in Portable Document Format, or PDF. Anyone with a computer can view a PDF file with a PDF reader. The most commonly used reader is Adobe Reader. To create a PDF file simply choose File>Print from your open file, and in the print dialogue box select "Save as PDF". Save your new file with the .PDF extension.
• Final Day: Complete anonymous course evaluation and feedback sheet (click here to download). After answering the questions, print the document. I'll retrieve it from the printer tray to ensure anonymity. Explore the Just for Fun links from the list below.
