Media Assignment #1
Prepare a 2 minute
video feature that is a biographical vignette about a classmate that you have
interviewed. You will be the host, director and producer of the short clip that
will be recorded live and aired in front of our ÒstudioÓ audience, the media
class. The 1 ½- 2 minute
script should be accompanied by pictures that enhance the biography. Pictures may be taken in class in
addition to photographs gathered from the web.
Process
- Peer interviews
(formulate questions, take notes, ask more questions)
- Write script
from notes. (Word for word, fragments or key topics may be utilized,
whichever method is preferred!) Save document as a .doc and a .txt file.
- Gather
photographs (use camera and web photos. Partner may bring in pictures to
enhance presentation.) Photographs are for full screen viewing- check
pixels when downloading!)
- Create title
slide and end slide in Powerpoint. Save as a PPT AND individual JPEGs @
800 x 600 resolution. (Could
possible also create a Word document w/ horizontal orientation and save as
PDF file then convert to a TIFF.) May create additional slides if desired.
- Use iPhoto to
create an album of all photos. (From camera, web and original creations.)
- After arranging
photos in appropriate sequence set timing for slide show. Add 1 song if desired. (Music should enhance presentation
and be subtle rather than the focus of the presentation.)
