return to assignments
June 1st: Hi tech class.
I'm out sick today. (suspicious, hu since the weather is so nice..) If you made
it through the series of steps to finalize your survey and email me the url-
congrats.) Now for the fun stuff! Read on to find out what some of the ideas
are for your project choices. Once you're fairly certain of your project idea
you'll need to download the
Project Plan, Approval and Evaluation Form and save
it in your folder on the server. Fill out the top portion of the page until
you get to the horizontal line. Print it out and turn it in to the substitute.
You'll add on the sheet as you progress through the days of the project. If
you have questions about your project idea, send me an email today or tomorrow
(edwardsmo@edmonds.wednet.edu) and I'll respond quickly. If your project requires
video or pictures, come to class WITH the video footage and the pictures. You
won't be able to shoot during class time.
PS-
I have several sample project to share with you during class next week!
Now READ!
The final project for the trimester will
be an choice project, challenging you to explore, learn and create a project
that is of interest & meaningful to you. You are limited only by time and
your creativity. The ideas listed below are intended to be suggestions, but
you are welcome to engage in your own project idea, pending approval from the
teacher. Your project may be a series of smaller activities which together,
combine to form a larger project. Although meant to be independent in nature,
individual projects can be compiled into a larger, more complete projects. If
you are enthusiastic about tackling a large project but feel it is too overwhelming
to finish by trimester end, you are welcome to come in to the lab on your own
time after the end of the trimester to finish the work. A work in progress will
not result in a lower grade. (See below for evaluation information.) Completing
online tutorials or lessons to develop a foundation of understanding can also
be considered as part of your project. Ultimately you'll need to have something
to demonstrate what you've learned, but a written summary may also accompany
your project as part of your 'evidence of progress'.
Grade on this project will be based equally
on effort and project presentation & complexity.
Project Plan, Approval and Evaluation Form can be downloaded here. Project
presentation will take place Wednesday, June 18th and Friday, June 20th ). Presentation
should be approx. 4 minutes in length and may be informal in nature, but an
organized and fully prepared presentation of the process and project. (ie: Show
us what you did, explain what you learned, what was challenging and what you
would still do if you had more time.)

lab computers currently run iLife '05 so there will be some variations.) Quicktime

viewing than on the web. More web resources listed below.
