Mary Woodman

Grade 2/3
Room 8

Mrs. Woodman came to Lynndale because she heard it was a good community school with nice students and parents. She especially enjoys teaching students how to take care of class pets. "Each animal has a special need and kids learn quickly how to feed them and care for their environment," says Mrs. Woodman.

She attended the University of Alaska, Oregon State University and the University of Washington. Her favorite subject in school was math because she likes solving problems and getting the right answer!

At Lynndale she enjoys teaching reading the most because it involves so many other subjects. "I also like it because I didn't think I was a very good reader in school so I can explain to students how I became a better reader," Mrs. Woodman says. She can't imagine herself in any other profession other than teaching.

Hawaii would be Mrs. Woodman's favorite vacation destination. She enjoys island life, peacefulness, sun and beautiful sites to explore.
