Best Chapter Books is the annual effort of dozens of Edmonds School District librarians to connect intermediate students with quality literature. This web site is the collaborative effort of many. Contributions from those outside of Edmonds are also welcome.
Our best books come from the Sasquatch List and YRC List and are combined into one program which immerses students in the power and imagination of reading.
Many resources are available on this web site. Scripts are made available and students will perform in readers theatre or video productions. Comprehension questions are collected for a b attle of the books- an exciting and motivating way to test students' understanding. Covers are available for printing to promote the books as well as suggested excerpts for you book talks. That's just the beginning. Many other learning stations are also available to enrich the material and help student achievement. We hope that your classroom is enriched because of these materials because
